The campaign is entirely run by concerned local residents. We are all volunteers and we need your help. There are lots of different ways you can get involved – and as they say “every little helps”…

How can you help?
- knocking on doors, talking to your neighbours
- leafletting
- help with press liaison
- help to manage the website and email groups
- research – read documents and plans to support our case and help develop our arguments
- contact other groups locally and around the country to learn from their successes and failures
- network with local community groups
- join the campaign planning group (fortnightly meetings)
- fundraising
- and anything else you can think of!

I just wonder if anyone has a better suggestion for the future use of the hospital site than the building of a supermarket? I think it may be an idea to open a page or forum for suggestions. I myself would like to see the buildings used as a ‘non-invasive Healing centre’ with research into alternative and complementary methods. At the front I would like very much to see a ‘One World Garden’ or park with different areas cultivated by representative groups in our community. Perhaps with a ‘Building of celebration’ as a centrepiece to be used for well…celebrations, anything fun really!
I strongly object to the destruction of a community,By building a sterile supermarket and will be voicing my thoughts on the matter fully in my next post.
